Meet Ebony Oliphant

Ebony Oliphant received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grambling State University and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University. During her time at Roosevelt University, Ebony participated in a study abroad course in Guatemala at Universidad del Valle de Guatemala Solola with a focus on the multicultural aspects of counseling. Ebony also completed summer internships at two army posts (Fort Hood and Fort Stewart), focused on counseling post-combat veterans with traumatic brain injuries and/or post traumatic stress disorder. In addition, Ebony completed a year long practicum at Hartgrove Hospital.  Ebony has work experience in various treatment settings which include, residential, community outpatient, employee assistance programs, and group practice. Ebony’s experiences have shaped her therapeutic approaches. She is trained in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). Ebony has worked with children, adolescents and adults.  While Ebony works with a wide range of mental health difficulties, she specializes in trauma, women’s issues (physical ailments, reproductive difficulties, postpartum, and relationships), as well as severe mental illness.
